TERRI CLARK - CANADIAN COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION NOMINATIONS
     EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) - Terri Clark's Canadian brothers and sisters sure love her. She's been nominated for two top awards from the Canadian Country Music Association. She's up for album of the year for "The Long Way Home," and she's nominated for female artist of the year. In its news release, the CCMA calls Terri Clark one of the fan favorites. The awards will be announced September 12 in Edmonton.
 
 WYNONNA - HONORED FOR CHARITY
     NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Wynonna will be honored for her charity work. She'll be getting the Cecil Scaife Visionary Award for 2010. The ceremony will be August 24th. The governor and first lady of Tennessee will be there. This invitation-only event will be a night of music and tributes. The people giving the award say Wynonna is being honored because she's been helping "the next generation realize a better life and better chance at success through her work with youth." That includes helping kids who are interested in going into music.
 
 JASON ALDEAN - TOURING HAS OPENED UP HIS WORLD
     NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Touring has opened up Jason Aldean's life like nothing else. He says he's "seen more of this country in the last four years" than he saw in almost his "first 30 years on Earth." There is a downside, though. He's experiencing all this away from his wife and two young daughters. But Aldean says still, he's loves being a musician. He says, "there are very few people out there who can actually say they love their job." And he says he's one of them. Jason Aldean is on tour now. He's in Boston tonight and Columbia, Maryland tomorrow night.
 
DARIUS RUCKER - SONGWRITING DEAL
     LOS ANGELES (AP) - They love his voice, but Darius Rucker just got a publishing deal for his songwriting. It's with Universal Music Publishing Group Nashville. An exec with Universal says Rucker is "a great singer and a gifted songwriter, and has quickly carved his own niche with country music fans."
 
 MARTY STUART - COUNTRY MUSIC TRAIL
     PHILADELPHIA, Mississippi (AP) - Marty Stuart has been added to Mississippi's Country Music Trail. The Neshoba Democrat newspaper says Stuart's marker will be in the block where he bought his first guitar. That was Stuart's choice. Jimmie Rodgers' marker was placed in Meridian earlier this year. The paper says eventually, at least 30 other Country Music Trail markers will be placed around Mississippi highlighting locations that were, or are, important to artists like Charley Pride, Conway Twitty, Jerry Clower, Faith Hill, and others.
 
 "I FALL TO PIECES" STEEL GUITARIST - OBIT
     LOS ANGELES (AP) - The musician who played that distinctive steel guitar on Patsy Cline's 1961 hit, "I Fall to Pieces," has died. The Los Angeles Times says Ben Keith was 73, and had a heart attack on Neil Young's ranch in Northern California. Keith had performed and recorded with Young since 1971. The Times says Keith was a session musician who met Young in Nashville. Keith also performed live or in the studio with Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, Willie Nelson and others.
