94.7 QDR wants to help homeless animals around the Triangle find fur-ever homes and that’s why we started Fursdays!
Each week we will feature a local pet up for adoption through one of the amazing rescue organizations around the area.
This week we have Rex who is with The SPCA of Wake County.
The SPCA says about Rex, “Is We’re Back your all-time favorite movie? Did you wait in line to see the premiere of Jurassic World? Is Rex your favorite character in Toy Story? If you said yes to any of those questions, then boy, am I the dog for you! I am the adorable dog named Rex and it is so fabulous to meet you. I might be named after a dinosaur and have some gray hairs on my muzzle, but I’m no couch potato – I’m still ready to go on all kinds of adventures. I love being near my people all the time and can’t wait to explore the world with them! I have been known to open a door or two to investigate everything that’s going on in the house, so I’d love to have lots of puzzle toys and tasty stuffed Kongs to keep me busy instead. So, what do you say? I am fully grown at ~92 lbs.
Cats? Probably not. Dogs? Unknown. Children? I’ve lived with kids before. Housetrained? Signs point to yes! Training needs? I know the basics! Energy level? Unknown. How did I get here? Transferred from the Wake County Animal Center where I was surrendered.”
You can support The SPCA of Wake County by participating in Woofstock on April 4th at Koka Boothe Amphitheater. Join The SPCA as they light the pathway home for over 4,000 homeless pets. This year’s event is taking place after sunset and will be like nothing you’ve ever experienced. In addition, registration is free! They hope everyone that registers will save one pet life, which takes $100. Click the picture below to get signed up!
