Our QDR Hometown Hero of this week is Jordan Craven, a Firefighter in Clayton.
Jordan was nominated by his girlfriend Lauren who says, “Jordan is very passionate about being a firefighter. He joined the local Volunteer Fire Department when he was in high school. After graduation, he became a career fireman which he has been for the past 15 years. When Jordan goes to work, he never views it as a job because he loves what he does. He loves serving the community and being able to share his knowledge with new firefighters as they enter the fire service. In January 2022, Jordan joined the town of Clayton as an Engineer at Station Two driving their new ladder truck. On his off days, he works part-time for the Town of Winterville or volunteers at North Lenoir Fire and Rescue in Kinston. Jordan is an amazing father to our 16-month-old son Hatcher. We couldn’t be prouder of everything he does to serve our community and the other ones he works for.”
Thank you, Jordan, for your service! As a token of our appreciation, we’re sending you a gift card to Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q to thank you for all you do!
