Our QDR Hometown Hero of the week is Garland Hicks, assistant Chief of Corinth Vol. Fire Dept.
Garland was nominated by Kenny Harp who says, “Garland started firefighting at the age of 19. He has put his heart and soul into his career and has a heart of gold when it comes to helping people. He has worked his way up to Assistant Chief of Corinth Vol. Fire Dept. Without his leadership, the fire service would not be what it is today. He also owns Hick’s Lawn Care and treats everyone he comes across with respect and shows them how much he cares about what he does. He is very polite and well rounded, and a hard-working young man. He instills his qualities in his children and shows them what a true man should be.”
Thank you, Garland, for your service! As a token of our appreciation, we’re sending you a gift card to Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q to thank you for all you do!
