Our QDR Hometown Hero of the week is Carlton Page, with Wilson EMS.
Carlton was nominated by Laura Peele who says” Carlton Page is no stranger in Wilson, if you don’t know him by working EMS, then you have probably met him at the hospital or the community college here in Wilson when he was teaching EMT-Basic and CPR. Carlton works countless hours to provide for his wife and two daughters. When he is not working you can find him at Church. I met Carlton when taking EMT Basic, he was my instructor back in 2009, even though he constantly had to move me for talking, Carlton was always there to help with my test anxiety or even if I just needed someone to talk too. Carlton would take his own shirt off his back to help someone on or off duty, his fun personality makes it easy to talk to him. I recently went through some health issues of my own and Carlton remained by my side checking in on me when he could. I nominate Carlton Page for Hometown Hero for always having a positive outlook on life, always working hard, and still having time to check on those he cares about. I wouldn’t know what I would do without a Hero like Carlton to look up too.
Thank you, Carlton, for your service! As a token of our appreciation, we’re sending you a gift card to Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q to thank you for all you do!
