Our QDR Hometown Hero of the week is Branden Kern, Sheriff Deputy for Orange County. 

Branden was nominated by his mother-in-law Melissa who says, “My son in law is a loving dad and husband that goes to work hoping each day to make a difference in someone’s life. In March, he was awarded Officer of the Month for serving his community with valor and dedication. He recently arrived first on the scene of a shooting, secured the area, and provided first aid treatment to the victim. That is exactly why he went into law enforcement. His wife and kids know he is a hero every day.”
