Our QDR Hometown Hero of the week is Andy Barham, volunteer firefighter with the Puppy Creek Fire Department.
Andy was nominated by his wife Brittany who says, “My husband has been a firefighter since the age of 15. He has served on several departments within Wake County and now serves in Hoke County with the Puppy Creek Fire Department as a volunteer. He is the most selfless human I have met and would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He deserves the recognition, because he is always willing to help his community in need. He is always there to answer the call when no one else would even think about getting up at 2 in the morning. He is the true definition of a volunteer firefighter.”
Thank you, Andy, for your service! As a token of our appreciation, we’re sending you a $50 gift card to Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q to thank you for all you do.
