Our QDR Hometown Hero of the week is Kayla Baker, Nurse for Cape Fear Valley’s Harnett Health Campuses.
Kayla was nominated by her husband Andrew who says, “Kayla is a loving mother, wife, and an awesome nurse. Kayla works 12-hour shifts as a float nurse for Cape Fear Valley’s Harnett Health Campuses. She not only works 12-hour shifts, missing holidays, and other family functions, dedicating so much to her patients. When she gets home, she still finds the time to be a dedicated mom and get our son ready for school and spends time playing with him even after a long and rough day at work. She is also a part of the school PTO and is active by working school functions. She is an amazing woman with so many positive attributes and her patients, family, and community are lucky to have her. She lights up a room when she walks in and has a smile that will brighten anyone’s day. We are all so proud of her accomplishments and her strong will to serve others so selflessly.”
Thank you, Kayla, for your service! As a token of our appreciation, we’re sending you a $50 gift card to Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q to thank you for all you do.
