Our QDR Goldstar Teacher of the month for December is Amanda Blough, a 2nd grade teacher at Sanford Creek Elementary School.

Mrs. Blough was nominated by Karissa Hill, who is a parent of one of her students, who says, “My son just started Mrs. Blough’s class and is brand new to the school this year and she has already gone above and beyond for him. He has ADHD and Autism and to her, those are nothing but captions to help her learn how he operates! She’s asked questions upon questions and is taking the time to learn who he is and how he ticks. She’s truly a blessing to my son and our family! Thank you, Mrs. Blough! We are so lucky to have you help our young man grow!

Mrs. Blough received a commemorative plaque from Creative Images in Cary and a $100 gift card from Crabtree, celebrating 50 years! Her picture will also be featured on the jumbo screen at Crabtree, just below the food court for the month of December!
