Our QDR Gold Star Teacher of the month for March is Paul Zehr, Health and PE teacher at Holly Grove Middle School.
Paul was nominated by his wife Laura who says, “My husband has taught middle school health/PE for the last 17 years. To say he is passionate about what he does is an understatement. He makes forming relationships with his students look so easy. He goes out of his way to learn their interests/activities outside of school and genuinely listens to each student. He puts just as much passion into coaching and his players adore him and put forth their best effort because of his positive leadership. He deserves to be recognized and will feel undeserving, which is probably what makes him so good at what he does.”
Mr. Paul Zehr received a commemorative plaque from Creative Images in Cary, a $100 from Crabtree to shop at Auntie Anne’s, and an additional $100 to shop anywhere at Crabtree, a community staple for more than 50 years! His picture will also be featured on the jumbo screen at Crabtree, just below the food court for the month of March!
