Our QDR Gold Star Teacher of the Month is Jennifer Eudy, teacher at Floyd L. Knight School.
Jennifer was nominated by Angie Womack, her assistant, who says, “Ms. Eudy is an amazing teacher that works with children and adults with special needs. She has worked at Floyd L. Knight school in Lee County for 21 years. She is well loved by parents, students, and staff. In fact, she is such a good teacher that she has been nominated many times for Lee County’s Teacher of the Year, winning at least 3 times in the last 20 years. She is a hard worker and loves all the students at her school regardless of whose classroom they are in. She goes above and beyond for her students, her parents and her colleagues. She is a wiz in the classroom, constantly coming up with new and innovative ways to teach her children based on their unique abilities. Ms. Eudy recently experienced great loss in personal life. She lost one of her students in June, then lost her mother who was her best friend 3 months later. It was a hard hit for her emotionally, yet she continues to keep her light hearted and fun disposition in the classroom. I have worked at FLK as Ms. Eudy’s teacher’s assistant for 8 years, and there never is a dull moment in her classroom. I consider it a blessing to work with such an amazing teacher.”
Jennifer Eudy received a commemorative plaque from Creative Images in Cary, $100 from Crabtree to shop at Auntie Anne’s, and an additional $100 to shop anywhere at Crabtree, a community staple for more than 50 years! Her picture will also be featured on the jumbo screen at Crabtree, just below the food court for the month of August.
