Our QDR Gold Star Teacher of the Month for October is Tabitha Hinnant, teacher at Rand Road Elementary School
Tabitha was nominated by her teachers assistant Traci who said, “I work with Tabitha. She is a special education teacher for grades 2 through 5. She has a vast array of experience working in high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools. We have a diverse class, and she comes up with very creative and engaging ideas to teach the children. We have different levels to teach as well. She spends a limitless amount of money on resources for the class, materials, sensory items, and recipes/foods for hand-to-hand learning. She deserves recognition for her tireless work helping with IEPs for other teachers and giving advice to newer teachers. She takes each child’s style of learning and incorporates it into the classroom lessons so each can learn to the best of their ability. She truly goes above and beyond for each student in the class. She deserves some recognition for all that she does for her students.
Please pick her as your Gold Star Teacher of the month. Thank you.
Tabitha Hinnant received a commemorative plaque from Creative Images in Cary, $100 from Crabtree to shop at Auntie Anne’s, and an additional $100 to shop anywhere at Crabtree, a community staple for more than 50 years! Her picture will also be featured on the jumbo screen at Crabtree, just below the food court for the month of September.
