Our QDR Hometown Hero of the week is Scott Young, Fire Fighter for Contentnea Fire Department in Wilson. 

Scott was nominated by Skylar Ayscue, who says, “Scott is hardworking, a true volunteer firefighter, who work with Elm City Volunteer Fire Department, and is now working with Contentnea Fire Department in Wilson. His granddaughter wants to be like him and drive big sparkly trucks and put out fires. Even when he is off the clock, he continues to work at the station helping with calls or even putting Christmas lights up for everyone in the community!”
