We are bringing back our Fursdays the safe way – through Zoom! Each week we will feature a local pet up for adoption through one of the amazing rescue organizations around the area.
Meet Ernest! Ernest is a 5-year-old neutered male cat looking for somebody to call his own! We rescued him from the county shelter after he was surrendered there by his owner who could no longer care for him. He’s 22 lbs of chonkster, and he’s on a special diet to help him trim down to a healthier weight. Ernest is positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) so he may need a home with no other cats or only other FIV+ cats.
Ernest is a low-energy lounge cat who enjoys sitting on his bed by the window all day so he can bird watch. He’s got a rumbly motor and will purr away while he enjoys being petted! His previous owner said he’s good with cats, dogs, and children. He’ll headbutt you for attention and even let you pick him up and carry him around!
Ernest’s adoption fee is $45 which includes his neuter, microchip, FIV/FeLV testing, vaccines, and preventatives. Interested adopters can learn more about Ernest and our current appointment-based adoption process by visiting spcawake.org/cats
