Our QDR Hometown Hero of this week is Wendy Radford, a paramedic and teacher in Wilson County.
Wendy was nominated by her daughter Savannah who says, “My mom Wendy has been on the Wilson County EMS for 17 years and now serves as a lieutenant. She is so selfless and does everything she can for others and her community. She’s also a teacher at Wilson Community College. On her days off, she teaches CPR, first aid, and first responder classes. She is also a volunteer firefighter for the Stantonsburg-Moyton Volunteer Fire Department where she is a first responder and keeps the others up to date on their classes. My mom is always doing whatever she can to help others and still manages to take care of her own family. I think she deserves to be recognized because of everything she does for her community and her family! We love you and appreciate you so much!”
Thank you, Wendy, for your service! As a token of our appreciation, we’re sending you a gift card to Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q to thank you for all you do!
