Gold Star Teacher of the Month: September 2024 – Meredith Fordham

Gold Star Teacher of the Month: September 2024 – Meredith Fordham

Our QDR Gold Star Teacher of the Month for September is Meredith Fordham, teacher at Four Oaks Elementary School.

Mrs. Fordham is a teacher that makes sure no child is left behind. She always meets every student with a smile and hug. She is a kindergarten teacher but her impact is so much more. During a book fair at school, she went social and collected over $3000 to help every student have a chance to purchase one book in the book fair. She recently organized a character parade for Reading Across America, working with the town, fire department and police department to CLOSE main street for the parade to help students have a love for reading. She is a teacher and person that if you meet her for even a minute, you are blessed, and she will leave an impact forever. Four Oaks Elementary School is a better place to be because of Mrs. Fordham! Also, during this parade she organized, she had COVID and was unable to attend, but her hard work did not go unnoticed.

Meredith Fordham received a commemorative plaque from Creative Images in Cary, $100 from Crabtree to shop at Auntie Anne’s, and an additional $100 to shop anywhere at Crabtree, a community staple for more than 50 years! Her picture will also be featured on the jumbo screen at Crabtree, just below the food court for the month of September.
