Our QDR Hometown Hero of the Week is Shannon Somers, home health care nurse.

Shannon was nominated by Justin Phillips, who says, “She goes above and beyond the call of duty. I’ve had the opportunity to watch her, and when I tell you that she goes above and beyond the call of duty, I’m not exaggerating! Seeing her in action brought tears to my eyes. Her very careful attention to detail and to her patients touches my heart in a way that I can’t describe in words. Shannon is not only a wonderful person but also the love of my life. We just recently got engaged, and I couldn’t imagine my life with anyone else. Back to her, she is always been giving, always goes out of her way for others, and she is truly the best person I’ve ever met.”
