Hometown Hero of the Week: Sgt. Kevin Pena, September 4th, 2024
Our QDR Hometown Hero of the week is Sgt. Kevin Pena, Sergeant for the Garner Police Department.
He was nominated by Joyce who says, “Sgt Pena is an Army Veteran who was a Sniper Leader. He is presently the Community Engagement Unit leader and on our SWAT team with GPD. I met him in the phenomenal class he conducts, Garner Police Citizens Academy. Sgt Pena is dedicated, knowledgeable, and very personable. I recently moved here from NY and as soon as I met him, I felt like part of the community. Garner PD and the town is very fortunate to have him here.”
